Geography lesson en route.....

Interesting what you can find in Northern Michigan !

Smith College '98 reunion sponsor ?

Knew I'd seen that slogan somewhere before.....

The solution to The Hungry Tummy restaurant ?

On the way to Petoskey, we passed through the metropolis of Charlevoix, famous for its record breaking cherry pie.

Now where's the 50 gallon jug of cream ?

Do Not Disturb

Some nice quirky touches.

Also had a surprise when I looked under the bed !!

Sadly, no time for chess...

Anniversary celebration !

Staff were very friendly and we had a special deal for our wedding anniversary.

Bubbly and fresh strawberries on arrival, for example.

Mrs K/C/KC had fun flooding the bathroom with the whirlpool jets.

The view from our balcony....

The Inn At Bay Harbor

Stunning hotel with fantastic service and great facilities.
The restaurant had a good menu with wonderful wines.

I would certainly recommend this to anyone brave enough to venture that far North in Michigan !!

24 hours of freedom !!!

During our trip back to Michigan in May 2008, we spoiled ourselves with a trip further up state to Petoskey. We left Little T with Grandpa for 24 hours (which she thoroughly enjoyed). The weather was sunny, but unfortunately the wind was cold.

There follows a few photos of our roadtrip and of the hotel itself we stayed at - The Inn at Bay Harbor .
